Capacity Building Training Series – Empowering Community Leaders
United Muslim Sisters of Latrobe Valley (UMSLV)successfully launched its exclusive “Capacity Building Training”series for community groups. These sessions are by invite-only to ensure a more focused, meaningful and engaging learning environment.
The initial session was held on 26th September and was well attended and highly appreciated by participants.
We covered two key topics:
Topic 1: Connecting for Impact – Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
Facilitated by
Den Lim Keighran from
Den Lim Coaching, the session highlighted the importance of building authentic relationships, mapping and understanding key stakeholders, effective communication strategies, and how to nurture long-term partnerships to achieve sustainable and successful community outcomes.
Topic 2: Media and Communication Engagement
Facilitated by Dr. Sheikh Tania from Cybesa, the session focused on the power of strategic engagement in today’s digital age. Key takeaways included the importance of clear and consistent messaging, practical tips and tools for meaningful online and offline engagement, and an insightful discussion on the role of AI and how it is shaping community narratives and influence.
We thank our amazing facilitators and all participants for making the first session such a success.
UMSLV is planning to host more sessions in this series to continue upskilling our committe and other community members. Please note all sessions will remain by invite-only due to limited spaces and to maintain quality engagement.
